I remember the first time I went camping, or more specifically I remember the night right before I went camping. Obviously, the giant ones that a lot of people take when they are going on vacation are out of the question since I doubt you will be bringing so much luggage on your camping trip that you will need all of that sultan sized amount of space. The speed of the tent is also very important. To clarify, I don’t mean in how many seconds it can go from 0-60 on a free-way, but in what amount of time can it be set-up and torn-down. This is important if you are going to multiple locations on the trip and need to be ready to set off quickly in the morning. You also don’t want to still be setting up your tent while the others have already gotten so much sleep that they should be waking up any minute now.
Finally, you will also need to know what you will be using your tent for, or more specifically where you will be using it. If you get a bit more experience under your belt, later on you will also have a lot of additional equipment that will help you when you are camping, but for right now you will be pretty heavily reliant on your tent, so make sure you get the right one.
