The Newest Manitowoc Boom Crane

Manitowoc has recently presented its new series of boom cranes, which includes the remarkable NBT60. NBT60 is the largest crane ever built by National Crane, a company that is subsidiary to Manitowoc. This crane is setting the new era of boom cranes, as it brings a lot of unique features and capabilities. Of all those innovative and highly-advanced features, the Variable Position Counterweight (VPC) is the best and most unique feature. The VPC system automatically adjusts the counterweight for each lift, so the stability remains unaffected regardless of the severity and height of the job. The counterweight is moving according to the changes of the boom angle. This new technology by Manitowoc might have a significant impact on the lifting industry, because it boosts the crane capacities and saves a lot of money and time.

Guided by the demand of the customers, National Crane has designed the NBT60 to meet the demands of their customers, whether its capacity, lifting power, size, maneuverability, compactability and other features. The NBT60 has a lifting capacity of 54.4 tonnes and a 39 m, five-section full-power boom, which means it is capable of carrying out applications very high in the air. Also, there is an optional two-section extension of 7.9 – 13.7 m.

These counterweight slabs can be positioned in front to provide a strong zero counterweight load capacity for lifts. As all other National Crane’s boom cranes, the new product of National Crane provides a simplified and faster machine setup and a great operator comfort. The cab is made from quality steel and features a tinted glass and acoustical lining, air conditioning, sliding and windshield skylight and lots of many features that improve the operating experience.
